In this last video practice before the assessment, I practice only my part and i tried to do smoothly as possible and i guess is quite good. Still need a bit improvement, but i just need to play my part and follow the tempo.

I practice my song for group performance again this week.I still practice all of the part just in case and to adjust the tempo a little bit. I still need improvement on all parts, so i can play it smoother than before.

This week we practice our ensemble performance song again and we tried to finalize and fix our mistakes. The last time we practice we did well, so i think we are ready to perform this week.

This week we had to play our group performance with the song of The Girl From Ipanema. I think all of the group did well on the assessment. We all got good scores and all of our practices paid off. I did few mistakes though during the assessment, but i think i did good and i tried hard to play the song as good as i can.

2nd Video 21-25 May 2012

In this video, is still practicing my group ensemble song and the song is The girl From Ipanema. I still practicing all of the part, but actually i more focus on my part, so that's why i still can't play the start of the Ref not well and not smoothly. I still need to improve on my part though. The tempo slightly better and i played more smoothly, but still far from great, so i need to practice more.

In this video, i still practicing my ensemble group music. I tried to play the music smoothly this time, but still i make some mistakes along the way and i need to fix it soon, since the performance is next week. I played all parts of the song this time and still need a lot of improvement on the tempo.

This we use all of instrument class time to practice our ensemble group assessment for next week. We tried to synchronize our part, so it will sound better. I practice my part also, so i can follow my part well, but i need improvement on following the tempo of the music. I make my friend work hard to adjust the tempo, so i need to follow the tempo better.

Music class Reflection 21-25 May2012

This week me and Ihsan had to submit our jingle music and the video of it. I think the jingle music is quite good because i tried to put the notes and sound that are fit in to the theme of Beautiful Indonesia. I put some effort on creating the music also. The video sequences was Ihsan job to make it and i leave the rest to him after i make the music. This week, we had to practice for our ensemble group performance too and we had some improvement and we played better than the last time.

2nd Video 14-18 May 2012

In this video, I played my group song for my assessment. The song is The girl From Ipanema. I played the full Ref this time, but still i haven't played smoothly through the end of the Ref. Well actually, my part is not all of the Ref, but i just practice it in case my group needs me to play that part. I get the first 8 bars well, but i still need to improve on the tempo of the music because sometimes i got to fast and sometimes i got to slow. So, i need to play more consistently.

In this video, I practice my song of what I need to play in music assessment. In the assessment I will played this song with my group from various different instruments. The song that we got are The Girl From Ipanema. I tried to played the song until half o the song, but i can't played smoothly and got lot of mistakes when i played it. I need to practice the song harder so i can play more smoothly.

Instrument class 14-18 May2012

This week we practice our song and discuss how to play the song correctly together at the first day of the week and it quite went well. Then, i ask sir Hary, my instrument teacher on how to play the song correctly and i start practicing the song on our own in the second day. I know how to play the song better after i ask sir Hary. There is no quite big improvement though, i can't play more than 8 bars after i practice at the second day, so i need to practice at home so i can play well.

This week we practice our ensemble group song and we are improving from last week. At first, we all are confused on how we will play and i can't even play the first 8 bars of the song well, so we do need some quick improvement by then. After we played together again this week, we manage to play with better harmonize than before. Still i need to practice a lot because i'm not that well when i played the song

Our instrument class this week is just for few minutes . I think no more than 10 minutes and we use that time to practice our group singing assessment. That little time is not enough for me to improve and change my way of singing and it's very hard for me.

This week we have to sing our song of close to you with our group. I think a lot of us did well on that assessment, but i think i didn't do well because i didn't prepare well. At the last minute i had to change my way of singing and for me that is extremely hard. That's why i can't perform well, but my group done great at that singing assessment. I need to practice more and prepare well, so i can perform better.

As technology improve as time pass by, the music have different ways of playing and improvement on how to play music as we never can played before. This week we didn't do anything and just discussing how we play our instrument. I was absent in the first day and the second day we all had a test, so we didn't have sufficient time to practice our instrument.

Music have a lot of benefits to the society. For me i think, music is inspiring the society and make the world became a better place. It makes the society have more calm emotion and knows the world better. Music can change they way they think because some music had deep meaning and makes some people to change their way of thinking. This week, i had a test and i didn't do well at all i think because i was absent they day before i had the test, so i didn't know how to answer the test.

This week we practice our instrument as usual and we choose our song to practice from the given booklet, so we can learn few good songs from the booklet. My instrument skills on saxophone seems to be falling down from the last term because i didn't practice a lot as i used to be.

The role of music in my life is that music is something that keep besides me every time i want and music inspire me on many things such as the lesson of life, creativity and etc. I also feel relax when i hear calm music and the music helps a lot to finish my work. Music also can calm my soul and heart when i'm consumed by anger and sadness.
